Trademark registration requirements in Djibouti:

Ø Power of attorney simply signed. Each trademark requires a separate power of attorney simply signed. 

Ø Design of the trademark in JPEG format in case of a graphical trademark (not required for word mark).

Ø The detaliation of goods and/or services for witch the trademark will be registered or the classes in case they are known.

Ø Details of the trademark owner (name, address, registration number).

Ø Invoicing details (name, address, fiscal number, registration number).

Ø Priority certificate of the home application in case of convention priority.

Trademark registration procedure in Djibouti:

The registration procedure lasts 6 months from filing to registration. The protection lasts 10 years from the application date. Djibouti follows a filing system, the application is recorded at the Registry in the Court, there is no publication for opposition.
